Comments about Fluidmaster® Flush N' Sparkle Chlorine Cleaning System (8300P8):
This is such a great product. I installed it in 3 bathrooms 3 years ago and haven't had to change the flapper in any of them. Unlike the others that put chemicals in the tank that eat the rubber and warp it. The only drawback is the price of the refills. I solved this problem by cutting the basket off so only the lid and gasket remained. Now I use small 1 inch chlorine tablets. 3 will fit in them and the lid will still screw on. It's alot cheeper.

Comments about Fluidmaster® Flush N' Sparkle Chlorine Cleaning System (8300P8):
I have used every sort of toilet bowl cleaner on the market. I was dissatisfied with every single one--they either leaked and were gone in no time, or I had to work hard to get it to work in my commode.
I found this one when I was at one of the "big stores" buying a new flapper ball and anything else that would stop an "on/off" leak that was driving me crazy. The more I thought about it, the more I was inclined to give it a try in one bathroom. It was quite simple to install. The only thing that gave me a problem is that I needed to adjust the location of it so that it would not interfere with the interal workings of my tank. Once that was done, I put in the cartridge and waited for the system to fail. I use the bleach system. Blue water doesn't give me any feeling that the water is all that sanitary. The big test came when I had to leave on a business trip where the house was empty for three months. I turned off all my running water in the house, gave the toilets one last flush (reverse that order), and left to see what would be there when I returned.
The commode with the bleaching unit had no mold in the bowl, no ring, nothing but a clean toilet. The upstairs bowls were protected with products I had used prior to that. They required immediate attention, with some moldy growth in them and a red line at the water level. (All water levels had dropped due to evaporation during this time.) The cardridge lasted longer than I thought it would, even taking into account the fact I was not there for three months. The inside of the tank had no damage. I will be installing the system in all three commodes. If I had small children, I would be hesitant to install it in any bathrooms they would use, and go with the blue cartridge. All I really want to know is why I never found this system before!!! I have been looking ever since I can remember for a system that doesn't harm the plumbing and is a set and forget installation.

Comments about Fluidmaster® Flush N' Sparkle Chlorine Cleaning System (8300P8):
Have used product for several years. Keeps toilet really clean, particularly little used ones and because there is no bleach in the tank, I have not had to replace any leaking flap valves in the years since I started using the product.

Cons

- Supposed to last 3 months

Comments about Fluidmaster® Flush N' Sparkle Chlorine Cleaning System (8300P8):
Disappointing. From the first flush, it was obvious it would not last. The blue color gave it away. Only took 3 or 4 days to mostly be gone. If you buy the clear bleach, don't be afraid to look at the cartridge to see it melt away. My guess is that it won't last more than 10 days.
