Comments about 3M Lead Check Swabs (LC-2S24C):
Easy to use and read results to determine presence of lead. Also contains test board to confirm negative results (place a drop of test fluid on a surface known to have lead). Approved for metal and wood, but not yet approved for use on plaster. Of course, this says it tests for lead on surfaces, but to detect lead below the surface, you must make a cut through to the base material (metal or wood).
