I looked at this stand in the store and it appeared to be made of strong, durable steel. However, when I tried to put together at home, the legs wouldn't match up with the center ring without significant bending. Returned product for a better made, more durable stand.

We had a nice wide base plastic stand but it got lost in storage and we ended up getting this as a gift. On the pro side it comes apart completely and is smaller to store than the one piece one we had but often when the center ring is attached to the top part of the legs which holds the whole thing together, it causes one or more of the legs to be higher or lower than another and then the stand won't sit flat on the floor. The pan is also pretty shallow so the water level goes down quickly. Overall pretty cheaply made.
