I have replaced 2 kitchen faucets w/this model; the neighbor's & ours. Better quality(solid brass)w/chrome ma-terials, all metal hose connected to spray head; competi-tors are plastic, which cracks from constant use. Also, this model faucet is a"dead ringer"for a Danze faucet of the same design. It usually runs 2 to 2 1/2 times, the Oak Harbor pro-duct's price. Installation is alot simpler than other name brand faucet's, I've installed, in the past thiry plus years.

Was new at start of 2007 put in by home owner who I purchased house from. Like previous review, it has begun to leak and the handle has begun to seize. I hope I wont be wasting my time buying a new cartridge. I just replaced the handle because as another reviewer mentioned the plastic button on the handle deteriorated a year ago. The fixture only attaches to the sink by the center point faucet unlike other fixtures that allow a multipoint anchor on each hole of a 3 hole sink. So in 4 years possible cartridge is dead, and handle fell apart. I am on the fence to buy another fixture or put more money into this thing.....Cant tell if this thing is a lemon or just a coincidence that I have the same problem as others......And I suspect these are problems that the manufacturer is completely aware of.........I guess if you have the receipt and the manufacturer really gives a lifetime warranty without and [*]nand you dont mind the hassle of replacing parts its a deal.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
Installed about 5 years ago. It worked well until it started to leak out of the top of the unit whenever we use the hot water. Fortunately, I had the orginal manual to disassemble to 'believe' the problem to be the ceramic cartridge. I guess you get what you pay for.. I'll go better quality next time. So, if you want a 5 year faucet, this is you best choice.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
I've had this faucet for 4 years now and up until September of 2011 all the previous reviewers complaints have surfaced!rubber on spout has crumbled.water controller screw has fallen out and because of this it now leaks. you name it it is now doing it.But overall it is a decent low use faucet. I have 4 kids and it gets used ALOT! on off on off imagine 20 times a day. I can only conclude that if you are in need of a lasting heavy duty faucet this is NOT the one for you! save your money and due the research for a heavy duty long lasting unit. For me I will buy this one again! Hey 4 years is a long time. what else do get these days for [$] that lasts 4 years? In my house not much. Well those are my 2 cents.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
I installed this faucet about one year ago. It has functioned smoothly and it is easy to switch between direct and spray, unlike the prior faucet it replaced.
It is quite a bit lighter weight than my prior faucet. At first I was concerned that it would not hold up, but it has and I prefer its lightness when using the spray.
I did not install the soap dispenser, so I cannot comment on it.
I am very pleased with it and plan to install another one in my child's home.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
I really like this design, I have had this faucet for 4 1/2 years. We purchased it new with our new home and it was installed by a contractor therefore we didn't have the paper work that came with it, so when I started having problems with it siezing up on me when I turned it side to side. I called Oak Brook to report the problem and was told that without proof of purchase I was out of luck! Well I guess when I replace this one it wont be with an Oak Brook.

What a Terrible instruction guide! It really is the Worst that I have seen. I understand from other posts here that there is more than one spray pattern... Nowhere in documentation does it say ANYTHING about this.
The unit looks nice though and works well enough.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
I use this daily in my kitchen and finally had to get a new sprayer head due to the rubber crumbling into nothing. I found a cheap replacement (made of plastic which fits but keeps breaking-- so far have managed a free replacement twice.) Also the handle became so loose but I managed to repair it somehow(don't remember what I did). The lotion/dishwashing liquid pumps weakly--only dispenses a little at a time. What I need is the toll free number for this item to obtain the actual manufacturer sprayer(just remembered where I bought it) Can anyone help me here?

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
I like the pullout function. Use it to fill my coffee pot.
The spray function is good. Hope the rubber hood lasts.
Feels sturdy enough.
The pull out works fine.
They should advise to put the hose weight nearer the supply lines to get more hose range.
Don't care for the water flow angle not going straight down.
Don't care for the soap dispenser as it is difficult to place one's palm on it to pump the soap.
Instructions are lousy. The picture helps, but not clear where the washers & nuts go.
Made in China, but so are firecrackers.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
This faucet has such low water pressure, I've come to hate it. It has no force behind it to rinse anything off of a dish or kettle and can't even rinse out the sinks with it; it just dribbles. Ace has helped with a new cartridge but it didn't improve it. We have terrific water pressure everywhere else, just not in this faucet. I would NEVER buy or recommend this faucet again.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
Typically a Delta buyer, but wanted to replace the standard faucet before a kitchen remodel, and didn't want to spend much.
The valve became too loose to support the weight of the handle after the first year, causing it to shut itself off.
Despite efforts of cleaning and lubricating, the faucet no longer pivots freely without some amount of force.

I installed this faucet myself with no problems about 18 years ago. It has functioned perfectly in all that time. A small piece in the spout head finally broke so I called the 888 number and got immediate help and free replacement parts by mail in a couple of days. It has a lifetime warranty and is a lot better (and more reliable in my experience) than any of the name-brand models I've fought with in hundreds of rental properties. I'll use 'em as long as they make 'em!

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
For one, the first review sounds as if the person does not know what they are doing. If you buy a faucet it should fit the type of sink you have. A common mistake a lot of DIY'ers make.Either the sink is to small for this faucet, and or they have high water pressure.
The rubber cover to switch to spray or single flow, does break apart after few years, and the plastic rings they use in the neck break down, causing leaks out of the neck of the faucet, the plastic rings are used as bushings so the neck can be moved to the left or right of sink tubs.
If you use you kitchen faucet on a casual basis, this faucet is good, if you use your faucet heavily I would not buy this brand, and or model.

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
Nice looking faucet and it installed well. I just installed it, and am concerned about the other review saying the rubber on the buttons cracks within a year or two. I like the two spray types and use them a lot. The angle of the water is fine for me. My biggest problem is the instructions. They are mostly quite good, but they leave some parts out. As a result I had some parts left over that go over the main stem. Even if I take it apart and reinstall, I can't tell whether they are supposed to go above or below the sink deck.

Cons

Comments about Oak Brook® Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Various Finishes:
The rubber button on the spout assembly splits and cracks apart in a year or two and there is no stop water flow function. This makes it messy to use. Due to the straight design of the spray neck the water is not directed down into the sink but rather toward the outer edge. It would be better with a slight gooseneck. The metal hose does not slide in and out smoothly and is quite noisy.
