Replaced a similar sized 2x4 log rack I built myself, 20 years ago. Followed Paul's advice (Lubbock, TX), to "use longer bolts with round washer and lock washer to secure pieces". So, I spent a few extra $ on a dozen 3" bolts, and the washers, and I think it's even sturdier now. Placed the feet on bases of individual bricks, to keep them off the dirt and further away from rain & snow. When stabilized, I immediately loaded it up 2/3 of the way with logs that were from a recently cut down tree, and am extremely pleased with how well they are held by this sturdy rack.

This rack was very easy to assemble. I loaded a cord of wood on it and it seems like it's going to be sturdy enough to do the trick. I especially like the fact that I could save $15 in shipping costs by picking it up at my local Ace (where they know me by name -- love it!). Recommend this product fully.

The unit was made in USA very good.
Item was very competitively priced and was better than similar units made in China or the countries. very good
Use the product to store fireplace wood outside the home.
Had a good finish and the unit was easy to assemble. The unit was very good quality for the price and manufacturer will return emails or phone call and knowledgeable about product.
could use improvement
I would use longer bolts with round washer and lock washer to secure pieces. As unit ages the carriage bolts may rust and have tendency to want to pull though holes. If use round washer will increase amount of area the bolt would pull against. Use three holes instead of two holes for bolts on legs to increase strength. I would consider a top brace running across the top of the unit to prevent overloading by the homeowner and catasrophic failure in the event the unit collapses on either end due to failure of the fasteners to hold. Put warning label not to overload above stated height.

This is a great sturdy unit with a matching cover sold separately, but does not hold a face chord of wood as advertized. I thought that it was the same as the one I had purchased a number of years ago which does hold a face chord (96" x 48" x 16" of wood). This unit is shorter in length and height (86" length between bars x 35" high from the bottom rail). Thus it holds about 1/4 less wood than advertised.
