This product has worked well to prevent window bird strikes. I rigged up a hanging system using twine to connect lengths of ribbon to the gutter. Not a single bird has hit those windows since! It breaks up the clear windows so the birds know it is not a "thru" passageway. Just one problem I've experienced: rain and wind (common in Oregon) stick the strips onto the roof or wrap them around the twine. If only I knew a better way - maybe attaching some weight to the ends or connecting the ribbons. The 25' length gets used up quickly so the cost can add up. I'm going to try UV stickers on other windows. Remember, the deterrents need to be placed closely for them to work! I HAVE recommended to like-minded friends who care about the safety and welfare of wild birds.

We have problems with Barn Swallows wanting to build their mud based nests in the upper corners of our patio roof and front porch. Each Spring I hang a couple of these strips according to the instructions and the building stops. They aren't the best looking, but after the Spring nest building is over, I take them down. To hang them, I put duct tape over and around the first 2-3 inches at the top and then punch a hole in the tape for hanging...it works every time. The only thing that I would change is that this tape is not carried in our local store, but I order it online and ship it there, just takes a few days.
