What an awesome little machine. I was so sure it wouldn't do the heavy work of filling my RV tires to 110 psi I carefully saved all the packing to send it back when it failed but it performed perfectly, even filling my RV tires to 110 psi using the 12 volt adapter. Works as well as machines costing 5-10 times as much. Thanks!!

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
I needed something in the garage that would allow me to top off tire pressure without finding a gas station to do so. I'm tired of waiting in line, racing quarter-hogging air pumps, and holding other people up if I want to be precise about the air pressure I keep in my tires.
This unit does the job well, is not challenged in the slightest by ordinary tire pressures, didn't take long to get tires to full pressure, and operation was completely intuitive once I found the 12v/off/120v switch. In fact; it worked so well I decided to try airing up some tires sitting flat for years on an old truck I'm preparing to get rid of. I took them off the truck; and the Black & Decker worked just fine, the beads apparently stayed sealed and this unit pushed them from zero to thirty five pounds on several consecutive tires without getting hot. The only appreciable warmth I could feel was on the air hose itself, but the rest of the unit was cool to the touch after the heaviest use I'll ever subject it to.
It's not fast compared to a gas station pump but it'll still add 5-10 pounds of air in a couple minutes.
My only criticism is that the DC/Off/AC switch could have been placed on top of the unit instead of inside a cavity behind the area the cord is stored. That's a very minor inconvenience considering the problems this little, very inexpensive unit solves.
I can't speak to roadside emergency use as I've never tried it in that setting. However, if you want something to allow you to add air to tires without a gas station trip, this unit is an excellent choice for a very reasonable price.

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
The tire inflator is fine for my use. It gives me peace of mind when I get a signal that my tire is underinflated. Easy to use. The directions say do not turn the car while inflating but that is the only way the inflator would work.
The on/off switch is difficult to see.

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
I don't have a lighter in my car but there is a power supply. Couldn't get it to work as the directions tell you not to start the engine. I think that's the only way to turn on the power. As a disabled person who can't beat the clock at the quarter air pumps, this unit looked the best. I just park it in front of an outside extension cord. That way I can move the car to get the valves on top.

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
I am a 70 year old woman, living along, that has to do most everything for herself. This little machine enables me to check my auto's tires air pressure, and fill if necessary, at home without needing to go to some noisy, dirty air hose set up. I also use it for my lawnmower tires, etc. And I carry it in my auto trunk for added security. However, be sure I would recommend this little gem for any gender or age group. A great little time saver and well worth the money.
Pros

Cons
- Poor AC switch location

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
Relatively quick to air up tires. Automatic shutoff seems to work OK. Accurate results when compared to regular tire gauge. A/C switch location is in D/C cord compartment and requires removal of D/C (cigarette lighter) cord to turn off & on even when using A/C (A/C cord is co-located with air hose). An external switch would be a big improvement but I still like this machine for is capabilities.

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
I love the fact that you can set the gauge to fill to the specified level. Along with everyone else, I agree that the on/off switch is in a bad place, especially if you are going to plug it into an extension cord and not into your car. That car plug should be able to unplug from the unit instead of hard-wired into it.

Comments about Black & Decker® Air Station Inflator (ASI300):
I set the stop settings for 32 psi (using a separate air guage to adjust the setting). I then inflated each of the 4 tires on my SUV. Checking with my separate tire guage the pump had stopped exactly at 32 psi. This is the first product I have ever owned that would do this and the ability to use both the electric plug in the garage and the dc from the car dash is a big improvement that other pumps I have owned have never had.
The only negative I can find is that the on/off switch is located under the wires for dc operation and under the power cord making it a little hard to find and operate, but I can live with that.
This is an excellent product, the best I have found in the marketplace.

I'm not a gifted machinist, so when I used this device 'the first time' it didn't require natural talent or training in science... It worked perfectly, and easily.. In fact, it might possibly be a "GOD BLESSED" tool...
