The only bad thing is that if it's a messy kill, the purchase price almost prohibits disposing of the trap as well as the mouse. Also keep some old plastic spoons for reapplying because you won't want to put your fingers on the spot where the bait goes. Finicky? Well, yeah. JJ

This trap finally worked when I set it on a large sticky trap. The mouse still managed to lick off all the bait (blue cheese) without getting snapped on, but did get stuck on the sticky paper!
These traps are great for finding out if you still have mice, because the mice lick off the bait without setting off the trap. Then you know where to put the old-fashioned ones!

I bought 2 traps in a package. The bottle with liquid was not available so I tried cheese. The first 2 nights (and sofar the only 2 nights), the mouse (mice?) removed the cheese and left the trap open. I quess I'll have to find out who else sells the recommended "food" before I become critical of the product.

This trap didn't work. We've set them for 2 nights now and have set up 4. All 4 have had the bait licked clean off, and none of the traps have gone off. So obviously 100% non-effective. We will be going out and buying the good old cheap ones instead.

This stuff is awesome! I used mine with the old style Victor mouse/rat traps. Set the traps using a pencil eraser sized amount on the trigger & within 4-6 hours I had caught the 1st victim. I reset the trap & did not wipe off the remnants of the previous kill & PRESTO!, another victim within 8hrs. This Tomcat bait gel works great! I also set traps in the attic & am sure they have worked but had to leave for a couple of days & will check them when I return. There is no doubt this stuff works great!! Highly recommend using this in place of cheese, peanut butter or as some claim....a cotton ball with vanilla extract. Buy it today wuthout hesitation!
