The corners are 1/4" and must be clipped off to use on my 5/8" hinges. But they do work. Much better than other solutions I've used.

I had a door on the closet that would swing closed on its own so by using a level on the door edge and adding these shims under one end of the level I was able to know exactly how many shims under the right hinge to correct the problem, a real time saver.

The previous owners of my house replaced all the 1980's polished brass hinges and knobs with contemporary oil-rubbed bronze. The only problem was that the new hinges were much thinner than the old brass ones and the doors were out of square. Some didn't latch and some opened themselves. I purchased this product and it was easy to square the doors without taking them completely off. The price was right and the white color is hidded in my white trim. Thanks Ace!

Easy install, remove 2 screws and loosen one in the center. They are white so don't stand out and match existing wood trim in my case anyway.
Not too thick and good for fine adnustments like I needed but can be doubled to go further if necessary.
Did I mention very reasonable price and that one can work with them alone because the entire hinge does not have to be removed, or all screws removed so no need for someone to hold the door or apply supports even though to line it up perfect it did help to have a support, my own foot under the door to move it up or down as necessary if even needed....

I have several interior doors that are old and sagging. These shims greatly improved the doors' latching with the striker plate, although in most cases I had to choose between over shimming (which causes binding of the door) or under shimming (which causes the door contact to miss the striker plate). An improvement to the product would be a finer degree of gap control (1/64" increments instead of 1/32"), but it is quick and effective for simple fixes.

In todays world interior doors never seem to close properly or fit tightly. Resulting in allowing drafts to enter or not being able to lock the door. This unit works like a charm and is an inexpensive way to repair interior doors.
