I bought this Dimplex stove from Ace almost two years ago. We had a new puppy and I did not want an open flame in our fireplace with her around. We have used it almost every day since (including the warm months with the flame-effect only). In that time I have only had to replace a light bulb. We set the Dimplex on the hearth in front of the fireplace and it looks so real and puts out so much heat that we have not had a "live" fire since we bought it. The puppy is now a big dog and loves lounging in front of her favorite electric fireplace. Great product.

I use the heater to heat a one-bedroom condo. I am very happy with it. I live in California so the temperature doesn't reach freezing here! I only wish it had a powerful blower to help circulate the heat faster.

I really like this little stove. The flames are great as I have other electric heaters without. I do agree that a thermostat would have been very useful. However the heater to me is better used in a small room of around 15x15 or smaller. I cannot believe that this stove would heat 400 square feet as rated. But for the money it is nice

The instruction manual left out a key point. For max heat you need to have the low heat and the high heat on. At first it appears that high heat is broken. Excellent help on the call in line but took time that could have been avoided if you wrote good instructions

Okay so just got the fireplace today. The store called me and said it had just arrived. The customer service was great and called me the minute it came in. I picked it up and litertally plugged it in. Works great. It has three switches for flame control heat control and fan concrol.......could not be happier with this product. Normally I wouldnt take the time to write this but ya great product.....

Right out of the box set up. Lightweight, realistic flame that is very relaxing to me and my animals. Takes a while to heat up a large room but the heat is penatrating. Too early to see if it is cost effective. I like it, and am glad I made the purchase.

When we moved from our home in the Pocono Mts to sunny Florida, the one thing I missed was our fireplace! How nice it was to enjoy the cozy glow it gave off! Just something very homey about it! Well, here it is 7 yrs later, and finally I have a fireplace again..and it is just in time for a cold spell we are having in January! This little fireplace is all that I expected! Gives off decent heat to take the chill off the living room, casts a cozy glow, works well with our decor, and the flames are so realistic I truly forget it is not real! My dog instantly relocated her 'spot' to a few feet infront of it, so obviously, she's enjoying it too! I think the price is right, [...], is sturdy and easy to set up..just open box and plug in..and seems well-built. I highly recommend this!

I just bought it and unpacked it. There is no set up. Just plug it in and hide the cord. The surface is solid and could be cleaned easily. It's awesome! It's a lot higher quality than I expected. It is not some rinky dink aluminum. It feels like a real wood buring fireplace or stove. It has high, low, with fan or without. I turned the fan on and it puts out a LOT of heat. I bought it to heat room by room when it starts to get cold instead of the whole house since I'm not in the whole house all the time! I think this will work perfect. I also plan to use it on my screened in porch where I like to sit and have wine and look at the lake :-) Its surfaces don't get hot other than where the fan blows out warm air and could be used as a shelf of sorts as well. I might put a plant or some other knick knack on mine. It sits about as high as an end table in a bedroom or end table at the end of a sofa. I might get 2 of them and use them for that. The flames in the pic do not do it justice. They really do look like real flame. I dont know how that's done but it's looks really cool. I'm super happy I bought it and will be buying more to use as a cool alternative to standard end tables in my bedroom!

I've owened this great little electric fireplace stove for five years. I use it in an un-heated room in my basement that I use for an office. It heats the room quickly, even on cold days and I can choose a low or high setting or just the decorative flame. I recently had to replace the bulbs and found it a simple, easy process. The bulbs were readily availble at the big box store. It's a safe, dependable unit that provides me with warmth and ambiance at an affordable price. I also have an unvented propane fireplace in the basement that I haven't used in 5 years because of the smell and potential hazard (I had it check by 2 different professionals). Even in the summer months, I have the ambiance of a fireplace with the heat.

This is a great little electric heater for small to medium sized rooms in areas that don't get extremely cold Winter weather. We live in Northern California and have found this stove to be a nice alternative to heating with wood. More expensive heaters from this manufacturer have a thermostat but this unit with it's choice of Hi or Low heat works well for us. It has an imitation flame that is quite cheery and the heat is even and clean. It will run up the electric bill by about 10 to 20 cents an hour. It is really nice for a bedroom at night.

This heater heated my small home for 2 months before I had to turn the heat on. Its nice to add some extra heat in the living room on a cold night too. The only thing its missing is a thermostat. The flames also look very realistic. A great price too compared to other stores.

Great little heater, very relaxing to watch. Heats a good sized room evenly and comfortably. I only wish it had a thermostat, runs either low or high temp with no shut off.
Great heater for the money, good value.
Put it in the bedroom and keeps you nice and toasty and gives a great atmoshere.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a small space heater on a budget! Going to get another one for the spare bedroom.

It's an attractive stove, but not having a thermostat is a problem. It's a continuous on switch, either high or low. I find that not having a temperature setting makes it inconvenient. For the price - it should have a temp setting.
