Chuck slips and does not stay engaged.
At low start rpm, the drill jumps at engagement

Comments about POWERGLIDE Power Glide® Electric Drill:

I bought this unit in July of 2011 and it went out in end of Feb. 2012. This might seem like a short time but I was quite pleased with the performance. I used it to drill over 30,000 holes through 0.3" thick aluminum with a 3/32" drill bit. Tonight the brushes are starting to go. A spare set was included with mine. I instead am going to buy more of these drills (like 5 or so) because they are such a great deal. It is light on power but a high RPM unit. The chuck is not the best but that might be because I am used to collets holding tools instead of a chuck. Chuck key is okay (not great). For [$] it blows away the $150 Bosch unit.

Comments about POWERGLIDE Power Glide® Electric Drill:

This drill is just right for the occassional DIY user. It holds bits firmly and has plenty of power. I find it a little front heavy so it wants to tip forward/down if held horizontally, but is fine if drilling vertically. The variable speed is better than my old drill, but still tends to speed up as you use it. Overall, a good drill for occassional use; it gets the job done.

Comments about POWERGLIDE Power Glide® Electric Drill:

Not bad for a "at home" use corded drill for under [$], (if you do not mind a corded drill with the 3/8 inch key chuck.)Very good power and variable speed. Like I said; good for home use only.
