I recently purchased the Power Glide 19.2 V Cordless Drill/Driver for the express purpose of assembling new exercise equipment. The Power Glide was easy to use in any of the multitude of positions one finds himself when doing projects around the house. The weight and balance are about perfect - not too light; not too heavy. I have also used the Power Glide for driving 3 inch decking screws on my back porch, and the tool did the job effortlessly. Contrary to the product details, this is a variable speed drill/driver, not single speed. The only negative comment I have is the retailer did not have battery packs available for purchase. When the battery in use becomes fully discharged, I do not wish to wait 3-5 hours for a recharge.

I HAVE NOT HAD THIS DRILL VERY LONG, AND THE CHARGER HAS QUIT WORKING. I WENT TO MY LOCAL ACE HARDWARE STORE TO MY A NEW CHARGER. THE CLERK TOOK A NEW ONE OFF THE SHELF AND PLUGGED IT IN TO CHARGE UP ONE OF MY BATTERIES, WITH IN 15 MINUTES THE NEW CHARGER WAS SO HOT IT BURNED THE CLERKS HAND. I HAVE READ OTHER REVIEWS ON THIS CHARGER, AND THEY ALSO HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. NOW I HAVE A DRILL, TWO BATTERIES BUT NO CHARGER

I use this product to do anything whether its to cultivate with a large spade bit, or building a new shed it did the job, people all i can say is buy this drill or be sorry, it even has such a high setting the torque doesnt apply it just grabs the screw or whatever and turns it into or out of place.

This is a nice drill especially for the price! I've compared the specs to the drills that are close in price on this site and this drill meets or beats just about all of them. I even found a replacement charger and battery! (part # 2192755 & 2192763)

I bought this drill because it was cheap. It worked well for about 2 months, and then I went to use it one day, and the battery was dead. I put it on the charger and waited an hour. After an hour the battery was dead. I noticed a white foam like substance that appeared to have leaked out of the charger itself and realized I no longer had a working charger. I called the manufacturer and they told me that if I wanted a new charger, I would have to buy a new drill. I offered to fax my reciept to show I had only bought the drill a few months ago, but they told me it didn't matter, they will not brake up a set for me.[...].I do not recomend this product, or any other product made by Power Glide. Spend a little more and get a good one.
