We use these logs in our wood burning stove. There is a light coffee aroma when burning..it must be heaven in a fireplace. We use it with a log. It catches easily and makes a rip-roaring very hot fire..lasts all evening, too. It really warms the room. We couldn't find them at our usual place, but I found them at Ace online. NO SHIPPING!! I know where I'm buying them next year.

I like these fire logs because they do not smell of burning paraffin when they are in use. They do cost more than the regular fire logs, but I feel they are worth it.

Really nice minimal chemical firelogs. Just right for a nice evening fire. No coffee smell. We first found these at [@] Grocery and have been using them for 4 years. Tried others but they fall short of the Java log performance.

We love the convenience of these logs. They burn bright for over three hours without requiring any attention. There are absolutely NO fumes, which was important to use because other brands made our eyes water. Although there is no coffee smell at all, we like the fact that they are made from a recycled, all natural source. These logs are hard to find -- I was thrilled when I discovered that Ace has them. I highly recommend these to anyone who enjoys a real fire.

I manage a lodging facility and the units have fireplaces. I found Java Logs a few years ago & loved them -- no fumes, easy to light. I bought many cases of them and gave a log to each customer. A couple of years ago they changed the wrapper and maybe something else. They were difficult to light and I found many, many left behind which the wrapper was burned but not the log. I started giving extra old papers to people & told them to use those to help with lighting but that didn't help. I contacted customer service many times via phone, email & letter to find out what had changed & ask for suggestions but got no response until a year & a half later. I got a form letter with coupons for a couple of free cases. The problem still seemed to be there.
I'm very disappointed. I wish they were like they used to be - they were great. I don't buy them for business any more because there were too many disappointed customers. I'd like to try them again but don't want to risk the money.

This is a great, safe, environmentally friendly, non-poisonous firestarter. It works well, smells good or not at all and is easy to use. HINT: I break it in half (cutting the wrapper with scissors) because half is plenty to get a fire started.

I don't have a place to store wood and don't use my fireplace as a main heat source. When I do use it, I want to take the chill out of the air without having to turn up the thermostat. Javalog does this for me. It keeps me from having to worry about combustable build up in the chimney, too.

I get this product all the time, but lately they seem to be smoking alot more and are tougher to lite. Half the time I end up applying a flame directly to the log because the wrapper failed to light it. Still better than duraflame, but it seems that there might have been some cost cutting measures put into place.

I tried this because I was looking for a cleaner, easier to start alternative to presto-logs and Dura Flame. I read some on-line reviews about this product and decided to try it. I have purchased seven cases so far and am placing an order for four more. I LOVE these logs. What's not to love - clean burning, no odor, easy to store and use, and eco-friendly!

I bought a box of these logs a few years ago at a local grocery store. They burn very well with good flames and low odor or residue, compared to standard available logs. I have been unable to find them at stores since then. In fact, to burn the standard logs I still have (without them smoldering), I place down a Java Log first on the grate, then prop a standard log against it perpendicularly in the middle - both logs then burn brightly. I have a hard time with odors. Burning wood makes my eyes water and I cannot take the chemical odor of many of the other logs. I found java logs last year and I am in heaven. They are perfect - make a beautiful flame - and have no odor!!

There is nothing more welcoming and comforting that a fire in the fireplace and I've tried every kind -- real wood (wonderful but a lot of work, air polluting and requiring regular chimney sweeping for safety); gas (completely unreal and no fun); Duraflame (nice but too clearly a "product") and Pine Mountain (better but not perfect); and Java-Log regular logs (good on all counts except lack of that lively crackle that adds to the experience even when you are not gazing at the fire). Java-Log Crackling logs are by far the best. They are easy to light, provide beautiful long-lasting flames, create very little particulate matter or ash, and provide all the pleasure of a traditional wood fire, including the pops and crackles. These logs provide my wife and me with many a cheery and cozy -- not to mention, romantic -- evening, all with little effort and a clear environmental conscience.

Overall, a wonderful alternative to hardwoods that is "cleaner" and nice pleasant smelling product; unlike Duraflame which give off a peculiar odor. The only downside is that the crackling logs emit / shoot out (coffee grinds?) that will land just outside the fireplace (even with the iron screen drawn). They're great if you don't mind them or don't mind vacuuming them up, otherwise, I prefer their Java Logs (non-crackling).

I absolutely love this product! Burns clean, gives off wonderful heat, has a very faint coffee scent, and a quiet crackle without sparks. It burns a solid 3-hours, the perfect time for relaxing in front of the fireplace. I just wish more places carried them! They are very eco-friendly, too!
Highly recommended. You won't be dissapointed. I've even given them as gifts to my friends.

You folks with outdoor firepits will love these! They burn steady, throw off heat and, best of all, very little sparks flying around making the neighbors nervous! These have a pleasant smell! Manufactured from coffee residue, these logs burn cleanly and without the noxious smell of other chemical logs. Burn time is equivalent to the chemical logs. Burning yields occasional crackling sound with a barely perceptible scent of coffee. Best of all, these are enviro-friendly. It doesn't get better! (and NO, I don't work for the company; I've been using these for a while).
