This Reliance Water Heater replaced my 15-18 year old one, and it is good to have dependable hot water once again! Factory settings take into consideration energy consumption and the danger of scalding, however, since I need hot baths often for my back and hips, I MAY set the thermostats a bit higher for MORE hot water each time I shower or bathe. I am very much satisfied with this Reliance Hot Water Heater,

3days after I purchased a 40 gallon Reliance Water heater the bottom element went out,I had to pay for a new one.Since I have replaced upper and lower thermostats and reset,would not buy another one,not happy.
