        Comments about Weber Q 220 (566002):

Absolutely love this grill. 220 has plenty of space. Great for tailgating and camping. Can use 20lb propane tanks or the smaller 14-16oz tanks. I easily hit 500 degrees with this grill. A little warning when using the 20lb tanks.... it is susceptible to vapor lock keeping temps down around 250 degrees. Simple fix. Disconnect the hose at the grill and re-attach.

                Comments about Weber Q 220 (566002):

I bought this grill early last summer and since then it has seen heavy use, both on my condo balcony and out camping. Since my balcony is relatively small, I don't have room for even the smallest Weber Spirit, so I considered the Q series. After a year, I give it 5 stars; here's why:

                Flexibility and Portability:
When this grill is placed on the Stationary Cart it appears to be a small but attractive stationary grill, perfect for a balcony or small patio; you can't tell it's portable by looking at it. But just disconnect the propane hose and lift it off the stand and you're ready to hit the beach. This grill has done very well for me in both settings, which is partly why I give it 5 stars.

                Cooking:
This grill does an excellent job with everything from steaks and fish to corn on the cob and asparagus. It's powerful enough to overcook, so keep an eye on the temp gauge or you may find it approaching 500! This grill may be small but it can do the job: I have successfully grilled for a group of 9!

                Maintenance and Construction:
After the heavy use from last year, my grill needed some maintenance for this season. The instructions are easy to follow and include a section on maintenance. The grill is very well built and easy to work on. I expect I will keep this grill for many years to come and even if I move and acquire a much larger grill, I will keep this one for camping and picnics.

                Accessories Worth the Money:
The handle light is a seemingly expensive accessory, but turns out to be very worth it, particularly when grilling away from home. If you buy the handle light and the stationary cart along with the Q 220, you'll pay the same as the larger Q 320 and end up with nearly the same grill, but you sacrifice some size (Q 320 is 40% larger than Q 220) and a warming rack to gain the portability.

                Q 220 vs Q 200 Note:
It's not talked about in the literature or ads, but the lid of the Q 220 is more steeply curved than that of the Q 200 (just look at the photos online). This makes a significant difference when the grill is full and food is cooked near the edges of the grill.

                Only Complaints:
The folding work tables are a bit flimsy and will sag when a heavy plate of steaks is placed on them, but this usually isn't a big problem.
With regard to the Stationary Cart: although almost every piece of the cart is symmetrical, one small design issue means the cart can only be assembled with the wheels on the right side. Perhaps a minor detail, but if you really need the wheels to be on the left side (as I did), you'll need to wing it and drill a couple of small holes in order to fasten on the Weber Q logo piece that hides the propane tank.
