Comments about G.E. GE Indoor Dimmable Reflector Flood CFL Bulb (21710):
These bulbs flicker wildly and burn out quickly. They simply don't work as GE claims.

Comments about G.E. GE Indoor Dimmable Reflector Flood CFL Bulb (21710):
I tried these bulbs with dimmers that fade up/down when starting up and shutting off. The bulbs didn't come on or flashed repeatedly. Setting the dimmer to 'hi' setting made them work occasionally. They might work with a regular dimmer.

Comments about G.E. GE Indoor Dimmable Reflector Flood CFL Bulb (21710):
I am unimpressed, especially given the cost of this bulb. It is not instant on, takes a second to turn on. Then it is initially very dim, takes minutes to get to full brightness. Worst part is it lasted only 1 week. Checking to see how to get a replacement. Nice how it says it has a guarantee but there are no details provided with the bulb.

Comments about G.E. GE Indoor Dimmable Reflector Flood CFL Bulb (21710):
I like them. Previous reviews references slow to come on and slow to come up to full brightness and I agree, however, the slow to come on for us was not multiple secs and the slowness to full brightness never bothered us (we see it as pleasing especially in the morning when the eyes are quite adjusted). Best part for us though (and most important) it works flawlessly with our dimmable system. 6 eye-ball flood light system on slider dimmer.
Thanks.

Comments about G.E. GE Indoor Dimmable Reflector Flood CFL Bulb (21710):
This is the best and only light I have found that works in the 50 or so recessed, dimmable flood lights in my house. I have them in the kitchen, Family Room, and throughout the basement. I can only use these because they are the only ones I have found that you can use on a dimmer. They are a little slow to turn on but a lot better than 5 years ago. I have cut my energy savings quite a bit. They don't sell these at Home Depot. I've only found them at Ace.

Comments about G.E. GE Indoor Dimmable Reflector Flood CFL Bulb (21710):
Nice and bright as advertised. And the color temp is is warm. But this bulb does NOT switch on instantaneously, unlike all other good CFLs on the market. Rather, it reminds me of the first marginally acceptable CFLs I bought in the mid-90's. At least a one-second delay from when you switch it on to when it lights up (even after it warms up). And then it doesn't reach full brightness for about 2-3 minutes. Unacceptable. I am trying other brands and will probably wait until the technology improves if I can't find a substitute.
As is probably typical for dimmable CFLs, it doesn't get very dim, not even close to our incandescents' dimming abilities. But it does dim OK.
