This mower is far better than I ever thought it might be. I hadn't used an electric mower since the 50's!!!! (yeah, I'm a geezer) So, I was really pleased with how well it deals with tall grass. It does at least as well as my 5.5hp gas mower. I was shocked at how it plowed through the grass, when I fully expected I would be slowed to a crawl....it does NOT bog down easily!!! The first cut was after my yard missed the last two cuttings in the fall of the previous year. And now it had to deal with the first growth from a wet Spring....not a problem. The second time was two whole weeks later, after record setting rains. The grass was higher than the first time and WET....not a problem.
Dealing with the cord is no different than when I use a grass trimmer. Most cordless yard tools make you carry a heavy battery that has too short of a life. This mower has NO heavy battery and the only extra weight is a few feet of cord(14-3) that trails from the handle to the ground.
Another plus....the mower never gets hot. That means NO damage to plants and bushes!! ....like my 20-30 Peonies!!! And no waiting until it cools, for cleaning underneath!

I bought this mower with a lot of hope. I have a small yard, but thick grass (Zoysia) and I figured this would be a great deal. The price was right. The BIG problem is I ran it about 8 times and it broke. I had to drive 30+ miles to the repair facility (I live in a major city too) and they have had it now for 10+ weeks. The motor apparently burned out and broke. The parts were not in the USA. [...] It is very cheaply made. I would recommend that you spend the extra [$]if you can and buy a brand name.

Great mower... A couple of easy steps to attach the handle and I was cutting my yard...
Quiet, powerful, easy to push and steer... We have a normal sized front yard and since we have a corner lot we have a side and back yard also...
I haven't tried the bag yet, but the side discharge is flawless...
I no longer have to store gasoline in the garage, a safety plus in my opinion... Not hard to start, just pull the lever and it's on...
All around I must say it is a great mower and we even got it at a great sale price!
Take a look at this mower before you buy!

Grew tired of paying for lawn service costing $100.00 plus, I purchased this mower. The powerhandles lifts to start and the height ajustment is easy with the designated lever. Love the mulcher and lawn grass bag. The electric cord is no problem during use on the ground. Still working on the built-in tie-off feature for the cord. I did buy extra cord per sales suggestion. The mower is easy to move from indoors to yard I very pleased with the purchase.

I wasn't impressed with this mower and I wasn't impressed with Earthwise customer service either. They didn't returned my calls or replied to my emails either,I wasn't impressed it being made in China when the company is a USA mowing company. Warranty is ok but not the best. So I am found another cordless mower than was better than this one from Acehardware.

Comments about American Lawn Mower(r) Earthwise(r) Corded Electric Mower (50220):
[...]Assembly consisted of four knobs (no tools). I finally got my chance you use it over the weekend and it's performance was excellent. Being that it's much lighter than my gas mower that is even self propelled, I can actually walk a bit faster with it and get the job done much sooner. The grass dumps out of the bag much easier than my other mower as well. There IS one thing that you need to get used to.... After years of cutting the lawn in certain patterns, I now have to modify my patterns to accommodate for the cord. In the manual it states for easiest performance, begin your cutting pattern close to where the outlet is located and work your way outward. I'm sure I'll get into a groove after several weekends of mowing with it, but it's a very small price for pay for all the other conveniences.

I bought a manual reel mower (no motor) last year and it doesn't handle tall grass/weeds very well. So I just bought one of these mowers for use when the grass gets too tall. My one complaint is that the switch control lever (on/off switch) is only on the right side. It would be nice if it had a bar that went across to the left side. But that is a small complaint. The cost of a 100' 12 gauge extension cord was $60 - ouch. But now I have a really good extension cord for running other stuff a long way from the house. The price here at Ace was the best I found.
I've never had any success with battery powered things - the batteries always last a while but have to be replaced. And batteries for lawn mowers seem to be about $100.

Was everything I was expecting. Light and easy to handle. Grass catcher holds more than my old gas mower. Glad I no longer have to buy gas for the old mower. Would recommend to anyone.
