The valve reduces the output by half. If you need most or all of your water pressure to be effective, this is not the unit to use.

This product worked well for a week or so, then filled with water and stopped functioning. After a thorough drying out, it appeared to work again, but after one day it failed while I was out of town for the weekend, and ran constantly for two days, flooding my yard. Very disappointed and do not recommend.

THe setting options were great, just what we were looking for. The extra manual hose attachment is also great so you don't have to disturb your settings to water something else. But..the first one we bought in 2009 leaked, so we got a replacement, which worked fine last year. But when we connected it again this spring - more leaking. Will try to return for another one. Hopefully design flaws have been worked out, cuz other than the major leaking, it's a great timer!

What's the "wireless" thing about? The front of the housing says "wireless" on it but no reference in the manual.... at least not in the 2 pages of english. Also, there's a connector on the bottom but no reference about it in the manual.

The timer is great for filling our Avian Aquatics bird creek with water. It is nice to deliver fresh water at different times of the day for the birds. We had one that of the old design that filled with water in the battery compartment but I took it to the store and they gave us another one a year later. Fantastic. No hassle, no receipt, just the service you expect from Ace.
The one question I have now is there is a wireless symbol at the bottom of the device and a place to insert a plug but no instructions for the wireless in the book. How does this work?
Is it wireless? I would love to be able to program it from my computer!

I've been using this timer for years, on soaker hoses around trees, to fill the swimming pool (and then automatically shut off when I forget about it); and now I am ordering another one to use with an outdoor mister.
