I used this light as an outdoor light ( with weather protection )
The light worked well for about 4 months. - nowhere near the 10,000 hrs. stated by the company

I have purchased 2 different security fixtures from Lights of America which used the same (9166B) 65 watt lamp and both lasted about 5-6 months. One fixture quit working when it got cold and the other fixture just stopped working all together. Replacing the lamp did not solve either problem. Both units were placed at the peak of my house so it wasn't a handy place to remove the fixture. I would mot recommend LoA or any fixture that used the 9166B lamp.
