I use this product with my 7 1/2 ft patio umbrella and it does the job. I have a table with a hole which gives additional support. I don't have any water or sand in mine and it does the job. Glad I bought it.

I bought this product to replace the stand that came with my pool towel rack. The previous stand broke easily and blew over on windy days. This product is well made, holds the towel rack nicely and looks nice.

Very flimsy, may work for a small umbrella, but not for a patio umbrella. Our 9 ft umbrella was barely held vertical and fell over in a breeze almost breaking a window. spend the extra 30 bucks and get a real stand.

It's a small base but it supports our 9 ft umbrella just fine. We added water to the base rather than sand (much easier). At the end of the season we'll remove the pole & umbrella, & then dump the water out of the base so it doesn't freeze & crack during winter. Because the base is small & lightweight we'll probably store it in our shed during the winter (along with the pole & umbrella). That way everything will be clean for next year!
