I purchased this item to replace a 10 year old B & D toaster oven. This one works well, it toats well, which is what it is supposed to do. I had to play with the toast controls until I found the perfect setting for my toast. The baking tray is small, but I kept the old tray form my old toaster oven and it works in the new one. I like this item and will use it for toast and baking small batches of cookies. I doubt this will cook a roast, but that is what my oven is for. Great toaster oven.

My old Black & Decker toaster oven died so I purchased this new one to replace it. I like the controls of the new one, very easy to use. It is a toaster oven so all I use it for is toast and making small batches of cookies or biscuts. It works really well and toasts beautifully. I have had to experiment with the toasting controls to see where to set it to get the desired toast "doneness". I set it between Med and Dark to get a nice brown crispy piece of toast. For a toaster oven and for my needs it is perfect. I am glad I made this choice.

I just purchased this toaster oven. I just wanted a toaster/ broiler. Not convection. So I haven't really used it for anything but toast. I was truly amazed by how evenly it toasted. After reading the other review I was a little wary. But it toasted great! It's an attractive unit and the handle is big enough that you don't touch the door glass when you open the door. It does get hot, but from what I read, so do most toaster ovens. Will write another review after I've had it for awhile.

It's a cheap toaster oven - so be aware that yuo're not going to get the best performance from it. I use it mostly for toast, and it does toast, but unevenly, and sometimes it will BURN if you don't watch it, or it will take forever - really inconsistent. You can cram 4 pieces of bread in at once. I think the settings are inconsistent. You really have to watch what you're toasting/baking/broiling, because if you leave it for a minute, you could have a blackened mess when you turn around again. The unit gets very hot on the outside while operating. I would spend a few more bucks next time.
