Comments about Traeger® Lil' Tex Wood Pellet Grill (BBQ070):
I've had my Lil'Tex around 6 years now.. and I've become pretty proficient with it..
pulling out the best stuff made in it.
BY FAR, the best thing you can do for your grill is to purchase and install the Digital Thermostat Control. The three stage controller is fine to begin/learn with, but when you're ready to upgrade your taste bud elations.. the digital controller makes ALL the difference.
I've smoked brisket for 13 hours with the tempature set at 220* A 10 pound Prime Rib-less roast for 6 hours also at 220* And baby back ribs for 6 total hours, again, at 220*
Copper River Salmon is perhaps my favorite 'meat' to grill, and being from the Pacific NW, you can understand why. I don't even buy salmon at a restaurants anymore since they come out so amazing from my Traeger. I'll put an entire fillet (or more) in the grill at 325*, let it grill for 20 minutes and drop to it Smoke for another 25 minutes... are you drooling yet ;-P Just amazing stuff.
As others have said, you really can't burn what you put on the grill. And the clean up is easy.
OH.. And don't let me get started on Thanksgiving Turkey!!
Bon Appetite!

Comments about Traeger® Lil' Tex Wood Pellet Grill (BBQ070):
This is the best grill out there for grilling chicken and for this reason, I give it four stars. It is impossible to burn grilled chicken with this and it does equally well when grilling fish. When grilling chicken, the fat drips down onto the foil lined drain pan and produces steam that keeps chicken PERFRECTLY moist and a nice perfectly cooked skin.
I was disappointed in it as a smoker though. The pellets don't impart anywhere near the same smoke flavor as real wood. I wouldn't recommend it as a true BBQ smoker for this reason. There really needs to be a water pan system somwhere in the grill to keep the meats from getting dry. On long slow extended cooks, it has a tendency to dry out the meat and you have to resort to misting or mopping the meat to prevent the exterior from becoming dry.
As a grill for steaks, it is woefully lacking because it doesn't get hot enough to sear steaks. If you want to sear steaks and cook them quickly and leave the inside nice and rare, you can't do it with this grill. If you are the kind that likes to cook a steak at lower temperature, you will be happy with it though. For me, its my go to grill for chicken and fish. For high temperature searing or long slow smoking, I use a Big Green Egg with a DIGIQ system to control the temperature. But for me, the Traeger outperforms the Big Green Egg on chicken and fish and I will always have it in my cooking arsenal for those reasons.

Comments about Traeger® Lil' Tex Wood Pellet Grill (BBQ070):
Was concerned about quality before i bought it due to reports from 2009/2010. Well... It has been perfect and cooks amazing. had 4 cooks on it so far - Ribs, Pizza, Brisket, Burgers and Vege's. Wow it is outstanding. I upgraded to the digital thermostat. The best part is that it auto feeds the pellets to maintain the temp - no worries. I put on a brisket this morning. Took 12 hours to complete and it was incredible. Best part is I did not have to keep checking on the fire. I'm a novice bbq'er, but the food tastes like a pro made it. Also, customer service is very close by, just check Traeger's FB page - they hawk it and take customer service serious. This is a real company run by real people.

Comments about Traeger® Lil' Tex Wood Pellet Grill (BBQ070):
This grill makes meat candy...ribs, brisket, chicken, fish. You can also bake on it...pizza, meat loaf, bread, cookies, etc. Never baby sit your grill again. If you're looking, you're not cooking. This is the best grill ever!
Easy to clean...Wipe off the grill surface with some wadded up foil, then wipe with a towel (no crusty mess)...place foil on the drip tray...vacume the ash out about once a season with a shop vac. You can place lava rock in the bottom of the grill to hold the heat and conserve pellets.

Comments about Traeger® Lil' Tex Wood Pellet Grill (BBQ070):
I can start my ribs or chicken, and just go about my daily work while it is cooking. After the allotted time, I use the thermometer to check the meat. You don't have to stand over the cooking, you don't have to worry about flames coming up and ruining your meat. You don't have to keep adding wood as it is all done automatically for you. Freeze leftovers and they are as good warmed up as the stuff off of the grill. The clean up is one of the easiest of all our grills.

Comments about Traeger® Lil' Tex Wood Pellet Grill (BBQ070):
I bought my first Traeger in 1997 it was a used one since then I have sold that one to my sister and bought and sold two other Traeger grills and now have my fourth grill. I have friends and family over all the time to eat and they think I'm a great cook but All I DO IS COOK IT ON THE TRAEGER. Wood Flavor is second to none its never to much.
