This is the best hummingbird feeder if you have a problem with ants. The ants were taking over until I purchased the Woodstream® Hummingbird Feeder with Ant Moat (279) by Woodstream. No more ants for me or the hummers!!!!!

This feeder does what its designed for. Not only does it prevent ants, but because of the high dome design bee's don't bother it. I finnelly bought something I'm happy with and just ordered another one.

The "bird people" tell you that yellow on a hummingbird feeder will attract bees. Most of the popular feeders have those cute little YELLOW flowers that the birds eat out of. The ones I have are always covered with yellow jackets and wasps. This one may have an some visitors but not it is not like the others. I have actually painted the yellow red, but after several washings it peels away.
Also this feeder cleans up easy. I do recommend a brush kit for the feeders.
The ant moat on the top is also a great idea. So putting what works for me and the birds are: NO yellow on feeders, the ant moat, and the fact that it cleans up easy. Great for me and the little guys.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
