I bought this tester because it seemed a bargain and would test a range of battery types. It worked at first, but failed within a year.

most batteries register in 'good' range regardless of useful life left. minimal (computer rated as less than 10% battery life left with warnings that battery could die at any time) usually shows as the low end of 'good'. I don't believe my tester has ever indicated 'low'.

Needed a simple battery tester to see if a battery in the drawer was still good. Simple diagram on the back on how the battery inserts and easy to read display. Spring is a little tight to open with just one hand but ok. No need to turn some dial for the right battery type or fumble with black and red pins for testing.
