The fan works as described. It's not as loud as some review I saw made it seem nor is it "whisper quiet." I wouldn't call it distracting but you know it's on.
Installation was a breeze. Since I was also replacing the duct work to the outside wall and it's vent it took a little while, but the fan portion of the installation was quick and easy.
