We were abel to spray a chalkboard on a wall! yes it is a spray paint so it will be messy. because we used it in doors there is more prepwork. open windows,get rags,block other walls. Bottom line it looks cool,and the kids LOVE it.

Used the item on a wall in my house.
The spray made a huge cloud that then covered my
floors and walls 2-3 feet outside of project wall,
not to mention all over my clothes and in my eyes/nose.
The spray beam was too small and didn't cover evenly,
created lots of drippage.
Get the paint-on-with-a-brush kind. skip the areasol!
