This is an accurate, easy to install and inexpensive weather instrument. It allows you to have an outdoor thermometer and hygrometer that you can read indoors through the window glass. This is very important during foul weather. Yes, you need to install it in a shaded window for accurate readings. No, they do not make one that works in direct sunlight. As a Ham Radio Operator, I report hazardous weather to the U.S. Weather Service, so I know my weather instruments. I have used mine for 5 years and it is still working great. This is a good instrument at a great price!

My wife loves this thermometer and hygrometer, the michigan summers are very humid this allows us to accurately guage the heat index, easy to read, accurate, and all you do it press on to the window to install ..a unique design we had never seen before we bought these thermometers. The only problem I have with this any all thermometers is it has to be mounted in the shade for the most accurate reading, as direct sunlight makes it read very high, would be nice if someone made a themometer that worked in sunny environments. But over all we have been very happy with this product.
