I was going crazy trying to find an affordable way to put motion-activated lights at two doors that open onto the front porch and one to the back deck. All three already had lights that couldn't be converted with anything I could find (I have used a screw-in module to convert a porch light in the past) and I didn't want to replace all of them. I just wanted a light that would come on as soon as anyone steps onto the porch - me so I can see what I'm doing and others so they can be seen.
These are cute and fairly unobtrusive, installed easily on the low porch ceiling (there are no instructions for this, but it seems to work fine) and above the back door over the deck. They do exactly what I want them to do, and all three of them plus batteries cost about what one of the hard-wired wall fixtures elsewhere do. The light is bluish, but serves my purpose - and I can read by the ones on the front porch, if I were to want to do that. If I want to sit out there without the light, I can roll it up into the housing and it won't come on. I can't yet vouch for battery life or long-term durability, but it has rained hard several times since I installed them and the one exposed to the elements is still working fine.

We ordered 5 of these from Ace. It seemed like the answer to our problem so we bought 4 plus a backup. We mounted the four and within months three are malfunctioning. One won't light at all, one goes on and off all night without motion nearby, and the other comes on with motion but even in direct sun. Water has not gotten into the units. I replaced the one that won't light with the backup but I assume it is only a matter of time before none work. A waste of money.

I Have a long walkway to my front door and bought the motion sensitive lamp to light the steps by the driveway. Before I installed the lamp, Hurricane Sandy knocked out our electricity for a week. I placed the lamp in the hallway and it worked perfectly. The light came on quickly when motion was detected and went off promptly when motion ceased. The amount of light was was good. I shall buy more of these lights.

Product used as second door entrance light. I have had it for three months, and am completely satisfied. I would suggest that the fixture is weather resistant, but not weather proof, so install it under an eave or other protection. The blue light illuminates the area, but has a glare if directly viewed.

We use it in a closet. Lots of light for indoors, and turns off promptly. I suspect the batteries will last a long time (I haven't changed them after daily use for over a year. It works great!

I use two of these lights on the side and back of my home. They provide great light and come on automatically without being like prison yard lights. Highly recommend these lights
I will get lithium batteries to use in these lights. They recommend lithium batteries when lights will be used in sub-freezing temps.
