I read the first comment and it sounded to mr that he was using it wrong. I used this product in layers, first I had my dirt, then I used grass clippings, leaves from fall, and lawn mower remains to build my first layer, second i used my compost which is all orgain from winter, then lastly I used the barrier and once I had the pins in I mulched which decomposes right into the soil and that works the best, no problems when used correctly! I think the problem with the other guy was he did not mulch or use anything else with the barrier.

Pro: Eco friendly, somewhat easy to 'install'.
Cons: I bought this with the plastic pins (eco-friendly)that were recommended with it, to keep the paper to the ground. I bought a total of 6 rolls (around $60.00)of this product hoping this would work. After the first day the wind ripped the paper off the ground (off the pins) and broke several of my plants and ended up all over the yard. My yard is closed in by wooden fences and it is behind my house. So it is not in an open field. I lost all of the paper. Some of the pieces had bricks on them in addition to the pins to keep the paper to the groud. The paper was just ripped off and still under the bricks.
