I purchased on of these for my garden 2 years ago and it works great with little or no evidence of wear. I hooked up a Sprinkler/Soaker hose with the quick connect attachments to the outlet. If the barrel is full, I let it run. If the barrel is empty (no rain), switch to the regular hose and continue watering. I now want at least 2 more for the other 2 planting beds.

I love the way this rain barrel blends in behind my azaleas; it's almost unnoticeable. The hoses and connections fit well (even if they are plastic) and with the addition of a soaker hose I no longer have to water one entire section of my garden. Saw this product in the store 2 years ago and regreted not buying it ever since; I was delighted when I found out they could order it for me! No idea about longevity... I've only had it a couple of weeks. But it seems sturdy enough - especially when compared to some other more expensive (and less appealing) models.

I like the size of the barrel, ease of taking off the top and the overflow hose which I threaded through another rain guidance system to divert water away from the foundation.
One of the rain barrels is working perfectly; the other one has multiple leaks on the bottom of the barrel. I'm hoping that installing a piece of plexiglass inside on the bottom will slow the leaks with the downward pressure of the water?
I will have to see if I will order any more of these after a year in service. I have only had them about a month.
Will attempt ordering one from another company someone has recommended.
Hopefully, I will eventually find some that do not leak once they are filled. I love the idea of conserving rainwater for later watering and preventing it adding to the city's drainage problems!

I installed this to test if it was effective. It was with just a 1/2 inch of rain it filled up (I have a small house thus small roof). It is easy to install, simple to connect to another barrel if desired for additional capacity. I like it because the spout is at the bottom of the barrel and not 5-6 inches from the bottom like many. Given this, you do need to raise your barrel off the ground. I created a small level pad with 4-12 inch square pavers and 4 cinder blocks.

This item was purchased to control rain run-off and provide a source of water for an outdoor garden. I have already used it as a water source to feed my plants. Since I live in Florida, I will be planting my vegatables in November and I plan to hook the rain barrel to a soaker hose.

My neighbor & I share a garden and she bought 2 of these last year. We used the rain water all season long. I added one this year and I feel good about this. Should have done it year's ago! Looks great with both of our houses!

This product is large enough to hold a useful amount of water but is still manageable to move around.

I have seen a lot of rain barrels and the cheaper they are the uglier they are. I am pleased with the look of this one ship to store is a great option and right in my price range (free).

I have two of these rain barrels. The barrels are good, but both the leader and overflow hoses are a very poor grade. Mine were kinked too badly to be used. On the first barrel I tried to use the hoses, but the overflow hose was kinked so badly that the barrel overflowed from the top rather than through the hose.

15 YRS GUTTER EXP AND THIS BARREL IS A GOOD ONE! IT WORKS JUST LIKE ANY RAIN BARREL BUT THE LOOKS OF THIS BARREL MAKE IT STAND ALONE FROM THE OTHERS. IT CAN FIT ALMOST ANYWHERE EVEN OUT IN THE OPEN AND DID I SAY IT LOOKS GREAT...IM GETTING MORE.

This rain barrel is even better than I expected. It's incredibly easy to put together. It fills up a lot faster than I expected, too. I'm going to buy at least two more eventually for other downspouts around the house. And these rain barrels can even be hooked together! Just attach the overflow hose out of one and into the overflow port on the other - 2 barrels filled out of one downspout.

I was a little worried about not having the city water system pressure for watering, and it's true, it won't push a big yard sprinkler. But I hooked the out-hose to a soaker hose around my shrubs and there was enough pressure to still push through. I just hook it up at night to soak in during the cool hours, and by morning it's empty. I think it actually only takes 3 hours or so to empty all 50 gallons through that soaker hose. And the design and color are great - neutral, but not cheap-looking.

Don't expect to water your entire lawn with this guy, because the water pressure is similar to what you get out of a water fountain. However works great with a watering can to water flowers, plants, and trees.
