Follow the instructions on starting and it fires right up. I use it to cut down small bushes and trees in the woods around my house. (I live in the mountains) Does a great job and very easy to handle.

Just got it and took about 10 minutes to read instructions and assemble. Followed directions to start and it started right up. Used it for about 30 minutes and shut it off for about 3 minutes and it started right up when I was ready to weed eat again. Will try the blade tomorrow and post the results.

We do a lot of safety trimming in remote mountain areas and removal of invasive weeds on thousands of acres ranch land converted to open space. This tool is powerful and rock solid durable, easy to switch attachments in the field and included brush blade and metal guard far exceeded expectations. Blade can stick in woody stalks more than an inch below full throttle and when cutting too fast but this "pro" model takes it like a champ. Be careful when stump cutting in fire country as it will fling and spark on rocks without care, really easy on habit though compared with manual methods as it does not disturb the soil and lets you target with accuracy. With a half dozen of these and some volunteers you could clear up to a thousand acres before lunch.
