ACE stocked this 3800 watt water heater while...the big box home improvement stores did NOT stock any 3800 watt water heaters. If I had used "their" 4500 watt hot water heater, then I would have needed new #10 wiring and a new larger 30 amp breaker. The Ace water heater was shipped free to the local Ace store. I had it installed in less than 30 minutes...since the old water heater was drained. My old water heater was 30 gallon and I bought the 40 gallon replacement model. The larger model fit just fine (I measured first). It is nice to have more hot water in the larger tank. Heats quickly!
