The pole is way too short; the rope is not long enough. I had to cut a rope from the broken one to use this. When fully extended, it bowed. However, saying all that, it cut the branches so well, even the large ones, that the pros outweigh the cons and I would recommend this, and gave it to my neighbor to use.

I have only had this pruner for a couple of months. The third time I used it the pruner blade broke. I can't find a replacement blade for the pruner part. Very disappointed.

Just used the pruner to cut back some crepe myrtle limbs which hang over the gutters and roof. Cut the branches pretty easily and was tall enough to get to those which needed to be cut back.

I only used the pruner but it worked very well. The rope was not long enough when fully extended, but you can easily tie on another small piece to lengthen it. It is easier to use when you hold the end on your body, under your arm or between your legs, when fully extended. I was impressed at how well it pruned some thick branches. I did not attach the saw blade yet.

My only problem with it is that it can be a little longer. I'm a little short so trying to reach the branches farther up on a tall pine tree was a bit of a pain. Other than that it worked great...would definitely recommend this tool.
