There is no other axe in existance that can perform as well as this one.. all the weight is placed into the head. The handle absolutly will not break nor will the head come loose. I have been through about 3 different axes in the last five or six years from heads coming loose and the maple or oak handles splitting.

I recently took down a 38in. live cherry tree and took the wood home to split and sell thhat being said i needed a handle for my splitting maul head. So i went a bought one and and seen the smaller fiskars axe (2lber) and it amazed me how much easier it went throught the wood than my 8lbs maul. I probably dont need it but i am going to get the bigger one also because i could prolly split all day with that one too.
