Comments about Craftsman Easy Fire Forward Action Stapler & Nail Gun (00968514):
I use the staple gun for screen onto wood and hardware cloth for soffits and animal pens.
The slide is VERY difficult to open. My hands are not weak, but I usually have to find an edge of something for one side while I press with all my might on the other side. I figured it would get easier as it broke in, but that is not the case...it is as bad now--two years of use--as it was when brand new.
It wastes staples madly. They jam up, don't feed neatly, and I end up having to fight to open it to fix the problem after around 15 shots. It will not handle small rows of less than twenty or so staples, meaning any row that comes apart gets mostly wasted. Every row that gets put in the gun comes apart. I am writing this review now because I happened to be on the Ace site looking for a new staple gun. This one is going in the trash TODAY! I am sick of it. I can not recommend the Craftsman staple gun even for casual use. Save yourself a lot of frustration and buy something else.
