Comments about Craftsman 12V Nextec Compact Battery (00911221):
I have three of these Nextec battieries. Both came with their respective tool. They are now a number of years old, and get used quite often. Neither battery has quit functioning... yet. And they all still hold a long charge.
These are fairly small, so it still impresses me how long they last in the tool before needing a recharge (and they recharge fairly fast, maybe a few hours at most... idk cause I put them in the charger at night and retrieve in the morning before heading out. I only charge them when they are completely drained, which isn't required with Lithium Ion batteries, but its what works for my schedule. But they each only get charged maybe once a month.) I use them often, but for short periods ea use.
Some say they are expensive, but given how long the charge lasts, and the years of good use, they are not that expensive, especially when compared to Makita, Dewalt, Milwaukee, and even the larger Craftsman cordless tools.
I really like and recommend these, as well as the smaller tools they work in.
