The past month this summer has been pretty brutal and I've been trying to cool down my house (first-time home owner as of 3 months ago) without using the AC. I installed a solar attic fan to reduce the radiant heat from the ceilings, but the bare sliders in the sunroom would heat the room up to as high as 95 degrees.
After doing some research online, Ace had the absolute lowest price for the Coolaroo exterior shade. The 10ft width was perfect to cover my two sliders and the neutral color blends with my paint scheme. Installation was a snap with the included hardware, though I would recommend having a buddy lend an extra set of hands. 25 minutes of work netted very pleasing results. The sunroom has yet to peak above 88 degrees since the shade was added. Now I just need to figure out a cosmetically-pleasing way to shade/filter the skylight.
