After seeing the negative review here, I had to write one myself. I have been using this product to get grease stains out of all my family's clothes (casual and dress clothes) for years. I think maybe this other person wasn't using it right? You have to spray the spot (I only use it for greasy spots)till it's wet, then let it dry to a powder...I usually let it sit for quite a while - hour or more? The powder absorbs the grease. Brush it off, and then unless it's a dry clean only fabric, I throw it in the wash again, just to be sure all the chemical is off. Usually the grease stain is completely gone, though one time I had to do it a couple of times.
Also, usually I don't realize the spot is from something greasy until it goes through the laundry once and doesn't come out. This product is so great that it even removes these spots that have already been "set in" by one or more drying cycles.
I cannot tell you how many times this product has saved my clothes. I cook a lot and splatter grease. My babies were always spitter-uppers and often the fat from the milk would leave stains on my clothes (or furniture!). I have never had a stain so bad that this didn't work!

This is the best laundry product out there. Have been using K2r Spotlifter for many, many years. It takes out fresh food-based grease/oily stains and also works on old stains. Sometimes I find a stain after I have washed and dried a shirt and it even works to take that out too. Can't live without this product. It is hard to find now, but worth it. I purchase by the case and give some to my grown daughters. Can't recommend this highly enough!

I have been using K2R for years. I love it, its just hard to find. It has gotten old grease stains out of some shirts that I was going to throw away. I had been useing it for stains that had not already been washed and dried and one day I decided to use it on a shirt that I was going to get rid of. So I tried it and it worked, it got the stain out of a shirt that had hamburger grease spatters on it, that had been washed and dried several times. Shout does not get grease out of my shirts. LOVE this stuff, it works, just read the directions before using.

I also have used this product for MANY years - then had trouble finding it. When I did, I sent a can to my sister and Mom. Now I'm not seeing it in the stores anymore and am on a "quest."
You have to spray the grease stain (ours are nearly always from food) and let it dry. Then put into the wash. Only rarely in all these years has the product not worked.

When it comes to greasy spots on clothes, there is nothing else like it! It doesn't work well on anything else but grease, but considering how stubborn grease can be, even to the dry cleaners, this is a product that is worth every penny. Even old grease stains that have been through the dryer disappear. I always wash the garment after using since it is very strong smelling.

I was cleaning out my cabinets, found an old can, & decided to see if it was still available. Hallelujah! I can't believe it! When I worked in an office & wore dry-clean-only clothes, everyone in my office had a can of this in their desk. NOTHING works better on stains, & I know this because I've been trying for a long time to find something that does as well on ANY type of stain...especially grease! Can't wait to go to my ACE Hardware tomorrow & buy some!!!

The only spot remover that does not leave a ring. This product when used as directed on normal fabric will lift off the organic stain (grese, cooking oil, wax, non-permanent ink) without a trace. (Tip: spray ink with hairspray first) I have used K2r for years and it is the best. Even works on ties. It is solvent based but non-flamable, so it may not work on water based spots, like ketchup etc., unless you use soap and water to loosen the solids and water soluble components first.

K2r is an old product which generally has proven better than any alternatives. The current formulation doesn't seem quite as effective as we've known for decades, but likely we've been trying it on our toughest jobs first, thereby getting modest results. Regardless, we're greatly pleased at being able to get K2r again, and the bottom line is --we're happy with it and recommend it.

I have used this product for many, many years when repairing gas powered model airplanes.
I spray it on oil soaked balsa wood to be repaired, let sit for at least two hours, and voila! the oil is gone and glue sticks to the wood.
It also works for most oil/grease spot removal.
