I just purchased it today, so it is early to give a rating. I will temporize with a 4. I bought it to heat an office of dimension 10 x 15. I turned it on low about 2 hrs ago and I turned the ceiling fan on low and set to push air down (counterclockwise rotation). The room, which was under 60 degrees and is well insulated, is now comfortable. I can touch the heater anywhere if the touch is brief (@ 1 sec), but there are points where a longer touch could burn. Fixing that would require either a more elaborate insulated, more expensive, radiator or a larger radiator. But I like the small size. This is a budget heater ([$] on sale at ACE), so I am OK with it. I hope it lasts longer than the 2 years Aroonie got. Perhaps it will at the low heat setting.

[...] I have come into the office on a few cold mornings (@ 55 degrees F. inside) and turned on the Pelonis. Even at the highest setting of 1500 W it doesn't seem to put out quite enough heat to warm up this small space, so I will have to use it strictly as a supplement to the central heating. My old DeLonghi Solaris seems to put out much more heat, but that is a more elaborate and more expensive heater.

Comments about Pelonis® Oil-Fill Radiator Heater (HO-0221):
I bought this to supplement the downstairs heat because my oil bill was bankrupting me. It brought consumption down fairly well. I have it running full blast. I have another Pelonis heater up in the MBR where the forced air heat doesn't get to so well & it keeps it toasty. I keep it on the 2nd of 3 settings. I can't use it on 3 as the house is old & both heaters are on the same breaker & it will trip. I use a fan to blow heat down the hall toward other rooms. If I close the door it get too warm (and I've covered up the register for the regular heat). MBR is ~16x14.

Comments about Pelonis® Oil-Fill Radiator Heater (HO-0221):
I have a few of these heaters. My older ones have worked for years. My newest one, with very little wear and tear just stopped. Don't know what happened or what to do about it except put it out by the curb on garbage day.

Comments about Pelonis® Oil-Fill Radiator Heater (HO-0221):
Landlord purchased two of these for either ends of the cottage. The central gas wall heater can not reach either end of the cottage, nor is the insulation any good in this almost 90 year old cottage. They were purchased to combat dampness.
They have slightly taken the chill off the areas where they are located. You are not going to get toasty warm standing next to them. I think I will be using them instead of the gas wall heater... since I just got the bill for that. Yikes.

Comments about Pelonis® Oil-Fill Radiator Heater (HO-0221):
I purchased the heater last winter and it worked great. I actually bragged about how much my electric bill decreased and that the heat pump was not working as much. Luckily, my husband happen to be lying on the sofa one evening and heard it snap and pop with flames shooting out of the controls. I would never leave this in a room unattended or on at night while sleeping.

Heater has only one output: slightly less than 900 watts, regardless of the setting (low, medium or high). It is stuck on "medium", low isn't 600 watts and high isn't 1500 watts.

Comments about Pelonis® Oil-Fill Radiator Heater (HO-0221):
It's only real drawback is that it takes a little while to make heat, otherwise it's a great heater. We've had ours for four years and it still works perfectly. I guess like anything, you can get lemons.
I'd buy another one tomorrow if this one dies.

I used this heater last winter with no problem. I started using it again this winter and after only 2 months, it started to leak. Fortunately, I purchased it on sale last winter and won't be out that much. I am definitely buying a different brand this time. My last oil filled heater worked for 8 years.
