Good directions for installation, so this is not difficult for the average DIY person. I even had to trim mine a bit as the duct was close to the corner of the laundry room, and that modification was no problem. I also put caulk on the rear of the plate before screwing it in place to insure a good seal over the duct tabs. Recommend doing this install after removing the old vent(to ensure you have 1/2" of duct showing outside), but prior to putting the Ultra Seal vent in place because it will keep the duct secure while you're putting the new vent on.

If you're installing the vent for the first time, it would be easier. If you're reworking a present installation you may have difficulties because of the previous installation. Product works well.
