ACE HomePlus+ lawn staples appear to be identical to the "high-priced spread" at as little as 25% of prices seen elsewhere. Also, ACE is the only supplier of 6-inch staples that I have found so far; all other vendors offer only the 4-inch length. By the way: contrary to many complaints, lawn stapes are supposed to rust quickly because that makes them very difficult to accidentally dislodge. To re-use them, just scrape off the excess rust with a flat metal file. I have re-used some staples for several years.
