after 23 years the pilot had to be relit a few times. checking about repairing it I found out the life expectancy of a water heater is only 12 years or so. Looks like these are appropriately named.

Expect this Reliance 50 gal. gas tall unit with 6 yr. tank to last 20 years with zero maintenance and zero problems...bought it 19 years ago at [...].. it still heats and never leaks....Probably best hot water heater ever made at that time...
