I love this stand. way better than the old screws. I read the previous review and don't get it. I've been trying to find another one for my father.

This stand will not hold the tree steady and is impossible to get the tree level. The 'clamps' do not lock in place and slide off the base at the least opportune time. It is a good idea and I thought it would make things a snap to set up....boy was I wrong. Wish I had kept the receipt so I could return.
