I use this to turn my electric fence on for my chicken coop at night. It's a simple design, and easy to install and use. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that it would be nice if it had two outlets instead of one. One advantage is that it is not oversensitive in the fact that it does not flicker off and on until it comes on for the night and stays on until morning when it shuts off for the day.

This product is so good that I bought two of them. I put it on my window sill and close the blinds or pull down the shade. If you don't do this the it will be compromised by the on coming light.

This timer I first used on my outdoor patio lights. My husband and I came home every evening to an enclosed front patio that was lighted and welcoming. The great thing about it was that once I put in the number of hours the lights were to be on that was it. When we sold our home the new owners asked us to leave the lights and timer!!!!
