Comments about Scotts® Turf Builder Classic Drop Spreader (76565):
If it wasn't for the holes plugging up when the grass is wet I would give it 5 stars. I've suggested that Scotts use larger wheels to keep wet grass from touching the drop holes and clogging them. If it wasn't for this problem I would give it 5 stars across the board!

Comments about Scotts® Turf Builder Classic Drop Spreader (76565):
I like the hopper size and wheel size of this model. I had an earlier one that was smaller in both departments and found the change worth the cash. Disappoint comes with the wheels, I prefer rubber wheels but certainly can't locate one within this price range.

Comments about Scotts® Turf Builder Classic Drop Spreader (76565):
Replaced a six-year old Scott AccuGreen 3000 drop spreader when control handle snapped in two. This version does not have the locking mechanism (even though it is shown in picture). I hope the control handle does not prematurely fail, since you have to apply constant pressure when using as you cannot lock it open. The window you read the setting numbers through shows more digits than just the one number / hash mark you want. Confusing to set. You can be way off if you do not start from "zero", and work your way up (slowly) to desired setting. All in all, I would still recommend this product because it is a drop spreader and not a broadcast spreader, and has the potential to do the better job for me.

Comments about Scotts® Turf Builder Classic Drop Spreader (76565):
Tried a rotary broadcast spreader. Didn't like the way it dispensed. I returned the broadcast spreader and purchased a drop spreader. Much better results from the drop. I think it spreads more uniformly. Hopefully the results will be decent.
