If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Don't know why a new model was needed. The original was perfect. Best feature was the orange adjustable lever on the top that allows you to water at the exact height you need. We particularly love to be able to have the spray just above the grass height. You can water on a windy day and keep the water right where you want it. Precise area watering without getting everything else wet. Would recommend this sprinkler to everyone. Drop the new model and bring back the original one with the red levers. It exercised the dog! She runs back and forth chasing the sprinkles trying to catch them. Wears herself out! And it doesn't hurt her if she runs into the stream like those click click click sprinklers have.

THIS IS A NICE SPRINKLER, BUT THE OLD VERSION THAT HAD 4 STREAMS WAS WAY NICER, MINE STILL WORKS BUT BARELY, I HAVE HAD THE OLD VERSION FOR 4 YEARS, WATERS NICE. THIS NEW ONE GOES WAY UP IN THE AIR BUT DOES NOT WATER EVENLY.

I just bought another one, as the diameter of the area covered can be so small or so great, and I can water a quarter circle, semi circle or whole circle. Great for edges of lawns too of course. When watering a small area, a good deal of water has to be diverted to water close to the sprinkler, some call that leaking, I call it fantastic.

The previous version of the turbo sprinkler worked beautifully. This one does not, and I was told the previous model that worked. It had 4 streams of water that covered evenly vs. one fuzzy stream that does not cover well and blows in the wind.

We bought this product to replace a previous Ace rotary sprinkler we had had for several years and loved. (Dropped it and broke the adjustment knob.):( We were unable to find the exact model either at local stores or on-line, so we bought this one since it looked almost identical and we assumed that it would work the same. Unlike the old one which covered evenly and horizontally and was easy to adjust, this one ejects a mostly single,almost vertical stream that results in very uneven watering. The design of the plastic adjustment knob has been changed and is no longer easy to operate. Several of our neighbors have the same old model we have and love it. Why'd you mess with a good thing? Clearly a case of new and not improved.
