The battery has been junk after only a few months of use. It has been difficult to find a replacement battery, and the few I have seen are far too expensive. Will not purchase this brand again.

I bought this from my local Ace Hardware a few months ago. I used it 2 or 3 times to predrill holes for screws. After a very few uses, the battery will no longer charge.
I called Skil and they claim no knowledge of battery problems, even though review sites from real customers are full of them.
My advice is to not buy tool.

This cordless drill worked fine for the first year but now the battery will not hold a charge. The price of a new battery exceeds the cost of many similar cordless drills making this a questionable investment.
