Had a MAJOR fruit fly problem over the weekend. Couldn't enter the kitchen (or the bathroom) without a whole bunch of flies doing a fly past. Tried some home made remedies (didn't try apple cider vinegar tho - maybe some other time - or hopefully not) with very limited success. Was too frustrated to keep trying home made solutions. Read reviews online and bought this product.
Within 24 hours - a HUGE difference! A few straddlers are still around - but the trap continues to get those as well. Would highly recommend this. Got to give it at least 10-12 hours to notice any difference.

I live in a 1 bedroom apartment (~800 square feet) and have lots of fruit flies around all parts of my apartment. I set up this trap three days ago and have moved it around a couple times, including to a spot where it was within inches of where several fruit flies constantly are hanging out...Yet I haven't seen any difference in the number of flies in my place and when I look inside the trap there isn't even 1 fruit fly caught! :( I'll keep it set up, obviously, and hopefully it will eventually start to catch some flies.

This is a poorly made piece of junk that breaks when trying to use it following the directions. Also, has a 30 day limited use period. Not a very sound expenditure.

Comments about Terro(r) Fruit Fly Trap (T2500):
This trap worked wonders! We have a compost bucket and garden vegetables and fruit on the counter. Every year we have a terrible time with fruit flies and this year it was worse. We had them hovering over the toilets and the sinks along with the compost and produce on the counters. We placed one of these in the main bathroom and the other in the kitchen and within hours there were little to no fruit flies; by the next day they were gone! It was amazing to see how many were in the trap. Thanks for a great product.

Comments about Terro(r) Fruit Fly Trap (T2500):
Experimented with homemade fruit fly traps in the past with only limited success. Placed this one on the window sill behind my kitchen sink. It was smaller than my homemade traps and very unobtrusive. I estimated I had maybe a dozen flies in my kitchen but after 2 days found at least 50 in this trap. Very effective and will buy again.

Comments about Terro(r) Fruit Fly Trap (T2500):
We tested this product side-by-side with a plain old bowl filled with cider vinegar (saran on top with holes poked in) and we found the Terro to be a bit more effective. Both kinds of traps killed fruit flies, but I prefer Terro because it's more appealing to look at on your counter. Very effective.

Comments about Terro(r) Fruit Fly Trap (T2500):
I put this out next to my fruit bowl in my kitchen (I had a terrible fruit fly problem) and the next day - no more fruit flies- other than a bunch of drowned fruit flies in the trap. I love this product!
