Comments about Perky Pet® Aster Hummingbird Feeder (122TF):
This thing has only one good feature - that little perch. It's advertised as being filled from the top and therefore easy to use. BUT, THE DESIGN IS SO COMPLICATED AND UNDER ENGINEERED THAT YOU END UP MAKING A HUGE MESS HALF THE TIME. The bottom red section separates into two pieces for cleaning, but has no O ring to make a really tight seal. In addition, those two pieces twist a different direction to tighten than the red section does to the middle clear section. So, in trying to tighten it all, you end up loosening one section while trying to tighten the other while trying not to break off the little perches. In addition, the clear section pulls up from the red section to create some kind of vacuum and suction to stop the liquid from shooting out the flowers and the seam between the two red sections at the bottom. If the top cap is not sufficiently tight OR the connection between the clear section and the bottom red section OR the two pieces of the red section (the one with no O ring), all the liquid comes out all over the place - out of the seam and out of the flowers like little fountains. It is possible to make it work, but I've had to wash off my deck 50% of the time and make up a new batch of nectar. I'm really ready to return the thing, but of course the receipt is long gone. STUPID DESIGN!!!!
