Spent 45 minutes assembling the thing only to plug it in and have it blow my breaker within a few seconds of turning it on. Tried it a few times. Not recommended at all, do not buy. Returning.

We have had this for just over a year and it still works great. Our apartment didn't allow propane grills but this worked great on the patio as an alternative since it is electric. My husband grills on it at least once a week. Makes great steaks, hamburgers, and hotdogs. I suggest lining the inside with foil before you grill to help keep with clean up. I can be hard to clean if you don't. Other than that is is great for the 2 of us.

Just received my electric grill and I'm loving it!
• There was easy step by step assembly instructions (took me 45min to put together).
• Plugged it in and turned it to the highest temperature (5=500), closed the top so it will heat faster (took about 10min) in which I started to prep the food. I cooked 2 Rib Eye Steaks and 2 Potato's (turned heat down a little). It came out "Perfect and Juicy".
• Clean up seems to be easy for me but then again, I have a cleaning OCD! So for easy cleaning, I lined the bottom of the grill with foil :) Sooo far so good (less cleaning).

There are a few things you need to remember... this is an electric grill NOT a charcoal/gas grill. Cooking with charcoal and gas grills, it's an open flame so it's okay to leave the top open. Electric grills is best to cook food with the top down so the heat distributes throughout the grill (you'll here the sizzle and smell the aroma). Use your own determination on when to check on your food.

Prepared dinner for me and a friend, he thought I cooked the steak over a gas grill... so yes he was surprised it was electric.

Granted, I love grilling with Charcoal/Keawe Wood but since I'm living in an apartment, I decided to try electric and I have no regrets (yet) about purchasing this.

Purchased grill last spring and have used it a number of times - not impressed. Condo rules bar gas grills or else this thing would have been retired already. This grill only achieves enough heat for hot dogs and thin burgers/cutlets. It takes at least a half hour of preheat to get it high enough for a little sear on a piece of steak. Average size (2+") steak will take 40 min minimum. I gave it three stars based on comparison to other electric grills, but it only gets a half star if comparing it to gas.

The grill itself is poorly designed for cleaning. Can't clean it with a brush, because the food gets caught in the grooves!

Every gas grill I've owned, has had "hot spots" and uneven cooking. Not so with this one-cooks great and "no gas bottles to buy". I liked it so much, I bought a second one for our lake place. Great product. JA

The grill never really cooked evenly. The element and controler have both malfunctioned and the manufacturer, Char-Broil, claims that because the grill remains on an outdoor screened in porch that "condensation" forms on the inside of the heat controller causing it to malfunction.They claim they are not responsible. The company representative at Char-Broil that I spoke with suggested that after grilling, I remove the element and heat controller and take them into an "inside environment". This is just not practical as the controller is bolted to the base. Of course, the Char-Broil representative offered to sell me a new heat controller and element for around $100,[...]. That is over half of what I paid for the grill to begin with. I declined. You should too! Decline to buy this or any other Char-Broil grill! The company does not stand behind their product, at least in this case. Even when the grill was *working*, it performed poorly by cooking unevenly and long preheat times.

It is a great grill! I get the flavor of grilling and I can have it at my apartment. The compact designs is perfect for my small deck and it looks cute. The assembly instructions are easy to follow. There is plenty of grilling space. I can grill enough at once for a small group of friends. Clean up is quick. The grilling surface easily comes out and fits in my sink. One downside I've noticed is that when the lid is up it loses heat quickly. However, once the lid is shut it doesn't take long to heat back up. Also, I was disappointed when it got some condensation inside the thermometer within the first few days. Overall, I have been very pleased.

I love my new grill. Becasue it's electric it's easy to use to grill for one person. No fussing with charcoal or gas and it grills better than other electric grills I have had and cleans up so easy. The removable drip pans is easy to clean. It looks good too!

This is the perfect grill for us. Our condo association only allows electric grills and this one gets very hot..preheating takes about 15 minutes. Steak comes out perfectly, seared on the outside and juicy inside..it cooks as fast as a gas grill. It is very nice looking and easy to use. We are very satisfied!
